Parkrose Business Association
The Parkrose Business Association is an active organization in the business community. Bob and Mary Brown are members of this worthwhile association. PBA networks area businesses, keeps connected with public leaders and local law enforcement, supports local schools, and has a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors. Bob and Mary both serve on the committee that selects scholarship recipients.
Bob served as President for four terms. Mary Brown is a Board Member of the PBA and has served as secretary since 2002. Daughter, Debbie Codino, Marketing, is one of the greeters at the monthly luncheon. Son, Kelly Brown, Store Manager, is a regular attender. Estelle Fuller, Bookkeeper, with Bob Brown Tire since 1978 is also a regular attender of the luncheon.
Bob was given the Karl F. Lind Award in 2003. This award is given to a member of the PBA who has lived and/or worked in the community; has given countless hours of volunteer time, is known for the highest integrity and honesty, and is a person who is part of the community personally as well as professionally.
Mary is also an active volunteer in whatever capacity is requested of her. She was awarded the Artie Johnson Award in 2003. This award is given to the person who exhibits selfless dedication and excellence to PBA.
Both Bob and Mary Brown are a part of the committee that pulls together the Rose Festival Cruise In. This event is a fundraiser for the Scholarship Program. This huge event requires a lot of time and energy from its volunteers. To see photos from last year’s event, click on the logo above or go to www.rosefestivalcruisein.com
